Tori and Gerrid’s picture perfect wedding day started at Hoyt Arboretum and ended with an intimate ceremony at Portland’s urban nursery and wedding venue, Blockhouse. With most of their guests being from out of town, Tori and Gerrid planned a quintessential Pacific Northwest get-together.
Portraits at Hoyt Arboretum
We wanted to start the day with with some quiet moments together before their Blockhouse wedding. Their portraits, complete with their three-legged companion, helped them ease into the day. Hoyt Arboretum is home to Portland’s redwood deck, one of very few places in Oregon where you can stand under these giants. It’s also just mere minutes from downtown Portland and a casual stroll away from the parking lot. This was the perfect location for the two to bathe in Portland’s foresty setting before heading down the city.
The Wedding at Blockhouse
Blockhouse is “an intimate gathering locale where meals are shared, connections are made and life is celebrated.” This unique Portland wedding venue offers a scool, intimate garden feel, right in the industrial district in Portland. Pomarius Nursery surrounds the space, so you get a greenhouse-in-the-city vibe. Sprawling greenery, plants, colorful pots and flowers meets brick texture. It feels like an urban oasis. Built around a chef-inspired open kitchen, “you can host an intimate gathering, lavish party and everything in-between.”
