Elizabeth and John have a love that spans over 3,000 miles. They’ve planned a beautiful fall wedding in October on the East Coast, but chose Oregon, John’s home state, for their engagement photos. There are few locations as iconic as Timberline Lodge at the base of Mt. Hood, or Wy’East, as it’s known by its indigenous name. The lodge, with its rustic charm and sweeping views, perfectly encapsulates the essence of the Pacific Northwest.
Determined to capture the magical glow of sunrise, Elizabeth and John braved an early wakeup call. By 5:47 a.m., they arrived at the lodge, just in time to catch the very first few rays over the mountain. The three of us had the trails to ourselves, and we were able to bask in the scenery and serene pre-tourist quiet.
John and Elizabeth were such a delight to hang out with, and I’m so excited to hear how their wedding goes in the fall!
