Emillie and Nick’s absolutely stunning wedding used Briarwood Estate’s epic network of gardens as a colorful, luxurious backdrop. Each little corner of this venue is so different from the others – with different colors, plants, and decor. You could easily spend hours taking portraits throughout the Estate. The venue, all of the thoughtful details, and epic planning by Marzano Weddings & Events pulled together the most incredible fall day for these two.

Choosing a Briarwood Estate Wedding
Located just north of Seattle, one of the best things about Briarwood Estate is its versatility. Whether you’re planning an intimate micro-wedding with just your closest people, or a grand celebration with a packed dance floor under the stars, the property has room to make it feel just right. Outdoor ceremonies are framed by greenery and floral gardens, while the estate’s indoor spaces provide warmth, character, and that effortless backdrop that doesn’t need much decorating.
Another highlight? Privacy. The flow between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception feels natural, and there are plenty of tucked-away corners for quiet moments (or sneaking away for dreamy portraits).

Briarwood has a number of locations perfect for hosting a ceremony. Emillie and Nick chose a large, flat space most easily accessible for those with mobility challenges. Surrounded by massive green hedges, this spot felt so grand and so private at the same time.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in a flower-dotted garden, followed by dinner in an old-world-looking space with wisteria winding overhead.

Briarwood Estate’s sprawling gardens are perfect for pre-party sunset photos. Everyone is a little more loosened up after the ceremony, and we were able to be a little more playful and have fun with our photos before heading into dancing.
